Thy Name is Woman will offer performances in American Sign Language, spoken English, and Protactile.ĪUDITIONS: Auditions will take place on Thursday, August 31 from 6:30-9:30pm in the Allen Memorial Chapel (SMT-1500) on RIT’s campus. Thy Name Is Woman uses multi-sensory experiences and non-linear performance to investigate Ophelia's past, psychology, motivations, and desires, all the while inviting audiences to create their own understandings of her life and her decisions. Set in a modern context, this production explores the character of Ophelia, one of Shakespeare's most under-developed female characters, and yet one of the most well-known and debated of Shakespeare's female roles.

For New York EPAs, non-equity performers should show up to the posted audition and will be signed up for a slot if space is available. For Beverly EPAs, non-equity performers will be seen once Equity performers have been seen. Non-Equity performers may be seen in both Beverly and New York, as space and time permits. In addition to EPAs, individual shows will have auditions throughout the season, beginning in the Spring and running through late Summer. Typically, season EPAs are scheduled in the early Spring preceding the season. Due to the number of Actors we see in person, Ensemble submissions are generally not accepted, unless requested via a show specific casting notice.ĭo you accept submissions on a rolling basis?ĭue to the schedule of our season and the volume of submissions, we cannot accept nor review submissions outside of the posted auditions.
